Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Edison, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant Preschool to support lead teachers in a Montessori environment.

You will help create a safe, engaging classroom, assist with lesson implementation, maintain student records, and communicate with families. This is a part-time role with hours 8:00am to 1:00pm, Monday through Friday, offering growth opportunities and an encouraging team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A love of children and patience.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, lift, push, and carry children.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capacity to multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Teacher Assistant Preschool

Location: Edison, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday,

8:00am to 1:00pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
