Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks an energetic and passionate Teacher Assistant to serve young children with disabilities within a Preschool Developmental Delay classroom in Media Delaware County PA. The Teacher Assistant will provide supervision, instructional and behavioral support to the students.
Essential responsibilities include assisting the certified classroom Teacher with all lessons and activities, providing personal care, taking data, organizing and supervising children in various educational and therapeutic activities throughout the day. The successful candidate must have the ability to assist the classroom Teacher with working on Individualized Educational Plans (IEP) and implementing strategies as well as assisting with the daily routine of implementing the preschool program in a safe environment. This position involves the school year plus a 6-week summer program.
Strong communication skills, high energy, and desire to have fun with children in a team setting are a must! This position provides an excellent opportunity to be employed within a well-established program as part of our support team working with children with disabilities.
