Apple Montessori Schools in Towaco, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Preschool to join our nurturing Montessori team. You will support Lead Teachers to help children explore, grow, and build independence in a safe, engaging classroom while fostering curiosity and confidence.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean learning environment, supporting lesson plans, recording student progress, and communicating with families as part of our

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
