Apple Montessori Schools in Oakland, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant Preschool to support Lead Teachers in a nurturing Montessori setting. You will help children explore, grow, and build independence, while providing warmth and guidance during daily activities and routines.

The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and engaging learning experiences; responsibilities include assisting with lesson plans, records, and family communication, with development opportunities and a discount program

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Genuine love of children.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and adapt in a changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Teacher Assistant Preschool

Location: Oakland, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 12pm to 5pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you'll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
