Job summary

Meeting Street in Providence, RI is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the Early Learning Center to support daily activities, supervision, and curriculum implementation for 25 hours per week.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 12+ college credits in Early Childhood Education (Associate’s degree preferred), CPR and First Aid certification, and at least 1 year of experience with children birth through age 5.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 12+ College credits in Early Childhood Education required, Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Valid CPR and First Aid training/certification.
• A minimum of 1 year working experience with young children (birth to age 5).

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the teacher in daily activities, cleanliness, supervision, curriculum and assessment.
• Partners with families to ensure high quality care and education for young children.
• Maintains a clean, organized and child-friendly learning environment per state regulations.
• Maintains supervision of children (indoor/outdoor) using licensing ratios.

Meeting Street is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the Early Learning Center for 25 hours per week.

Duties

• Provides assistance to the teacher in the classroom in regard to daily activities, cleanliness, supervision, curriculum and assessment.
• Partners with families to ensure high quality care and education for young children.
• Maintains a clean, organized and child-friendly learning environment in accordance with state regulations.
• Always maintains supervision of children (indoor/outdoor) using accurate licensing ratios.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 12+ College credits in Early Childhood Education from an accredited university required, Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred per program accreditors
• Valid CPR and first aid training/certification
• A minimum of 1 year working experience with young children, birth to age 5.

Hours

Monday – Friday from 12PM to 5:00PM.
