Job summary

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc. is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to teach preschoolers and toddlers. The role involves fostering positive relationships with children and families, and assisting in classroom activities across BI-CAP Early Head Start and Head Start sites.

Position is full time, 32 hours per week, year round. Wages range from $17.23 to $24.12 per hour; with CDA, $18.42 to $25.78 per hour, plus a competitive benefits package and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CDA credential or state-awarded certificate within first two years; employer will pay for it.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education qualifies you for the role.

Qualifications

• If you have a high school diploma or GED, you’ll need to earn your CDA credential or state-awarded certificate during your first two years with us. We’ll pay for it and help you do it.
• If you have one of these certifications, an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, you’re already qualified.
• You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation and compassion for those we serve.
• Preferred experience working with children birth to age 5.
• Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.

Wages

• You’ll be eligible for a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to make a difference in the community.
• Position involves floating between classrooms as needed. Classrooms could include all BI-CAP Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms and sites.
• Full time, 32 hours/week, year round.
• No CDA: $17.23 - $24.12/hr; With CDA: $18.42 - $25.78/hr. depending on qualifications.
• With benefits during the school year: medical, dental, vision, life/add, retirement plan, holiday pay and paid time off.
• Retention bonus eligible.
• Schedule: M-Th, 8 hours per day; or M-Th, 7.5 hrs/day with 2 hrs on Friday. Schedules approved by management based on program need.
