Job summary

Chambliss Center for Children is hiring a part-time Teacher Assistant for Early Head Start classrooms serving children 8 weeks to 3 years old. The role supports infant/toddler care, classroom transitions, and daily routines with a CDA credential or higher in Early Childhood Education.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, with starting pay at $13.00 per hour. Join a caring team dedicated to nurturing child development and family engagement.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Experience with infants and/or toddlers in licensed childcare or classroom settings.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist where needed.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers during lunch coverage and classroom transitions.
• Assist in infant, toddler, and twos classrooms as needed.
• Help maintain safe classroom ratios and daily routines.
• Engage children in age-appropriate learning and play activities.
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Assist with daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, and classroom activities.

Do you enjoy working with infants and toddlers and helping them learn and grow? Chambliss Center for Children is seeking a caring and dependable Teacher Assistant to support our Early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 8 weeks to 3 years.

This part-time position is perfect for someone with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential who wants a consistent weekday schedule while making a lasting impact during a child's most important developmental years.

Starting at $13.00 per hour (with CDA credential)
