Job summary

Chambliss Center for Children is seeking part-time staff to work with children ages infant through 4 years old in classrooms located inside Hamilton County Schools, Chattanooga, TN.

Starting pay is $11.00/hour for a High School Diploma, with $13.00/hour for CDA credential. Positions offer paid training, breaks aligned with the school calendar, and opportunities to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background check.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting is helpful but not required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Assist with classroom activities that support children's learning and development.
• Help maintain an organized and welcoming classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Support the teaching team with daily classroom responsibilities.
