Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Downingtown is seeking a Teacher Assistant to work with children in an autism-focused educational setting. You will join a multidisciplinary team using applied behavior analysis and positive behavior supports to help students build skills.

Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES)

Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. CARES provides an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs. Programming is focused on increasing independence for each student.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders preferred.
