Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Downingtown, PA seeks an Instructional Support Specialist to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on autism education. You will work 1:1 with students in a structured classroom, under the guidance of Special Education Teachers and Behavior Analysts.

Role includes establishing learning environments, ensuring student safety, data collection, and reinforcing PBIS. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm; 52-week year; competitive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
• Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to reduce risk of abuse.

Responsibilities

• Establish classroom environments conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors.
• Responsible for children's welfare, safety, and location at all times, including during arrival and dismissal.
• Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups.
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher.
• Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives.

Pay-rate: $17.50 - $19.95(based upon experience and education)

Every day as an Instructional Support Specialist you will:
