Job summary

Education Jobs NJ is seeking a Paraprofessional-Teacher Assistant for Copper Hill Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The Teacher Assistant will support the Classroom Teacher in routine tasks and collaborate with the Principal and Special Services Team to provide proper care and instruction for students.

ASAP start; 10-month term; starting salary $27,020 with placement per the FREA agreement. Full-time staff are eligible for single health coverage, PTO days, and bereavement leave.

• Must be able to work with students with diverse needs.

In accordance with the provisions of Article XIV-B of the contract between the Flemington-Raritan Education Association and the Flemington-Raritan Board of Education, the following position is available:

2026 - 2027 School Year

Position: Paraprofessional- Teacher Assistant

Job Goal: The Teacher Assistant assists the Classroom Teacher in routine tasks during the school day. The Teacher Assistant works cooperatively with the Teacher, the Principal or designee and Special Services Team in providing proper care and instruction for students.

Salary: Teacher Assistants: Starting salary $27,020 in accordance with the established FREA Salary Guide. Placement on the guide will be determined based on the provisions outlined in Article 12, Section C.1 (Teacher Assistants) of the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary will be prorated based on FTE and for partial-year assignments.

Benefits: Eligibility for benefits is based on length of service and full-time employment status. In accordance with the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement, full-time staff are eligible for single coverage. Paid time off includes sick, personal, and bereavement days.
