Charter One’s Academy of Before & Aftercare is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year at Wake Preparatory Academy. The position runs from 2:15pm to 6:00pm, requiring flexibility to support after-school programs.

The Academy of Before & Aftercare

is accepting applications for a Teacher Assistant at our Wake Preparatory Academy for the 2026-2027 school year. The hours for this position will be from 2:15pm-6pm. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and implementation.
• Reinforce learning concepts and provide additional assistance as needed.
• Help maintain a positive and orderly environment.
• Help administer tests and assessments; support the teacher in grading assignments and providing feedback.
• Observe and report on student progress, behavior, and engagement.
• Support communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Help keep the classroom clean and organized, ensuring materials and supplies are readily available.
• Encourage student participation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
