Job summary

Macon Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council, Inc. is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support children ages 3-5 and their families. You will contribute to a positive learning environment, perform child assessments, and collaborate with families to meet each child’s needs.

The role emphasizes classroom routines, interactions with students and caregivers, and ongoing professional growth. This is a full-time position located in Macon, GA with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• CDA for preschool aged children or higher ECE certification.
• AA in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
• Experience working with pre-school children.
• Intermediate computer literacy in email, word processing, internet navigation and skills to work with Program specific databases.
• Pass all background checks and drug screenings.
• Daily reliable transportation – must be willing to use personal vehicle to make home visits, attend meetings and other assigned duties for the Agency.
• Ability to sit, bend, crawl, kneel for long periods of time or repeatedly and must be able to lift/carry up to 50lb.

Salary Range - $15.04 - $16.72 per hour, dependent on education and experience.
