Job summary

Weaver Lake Elementary in Maple Grove, Minnesota, seeks a 2nd Grade Long-Term Sub to begin December 11, 2026, through approximately April 18, 2027. The candidate will provide instruction and support in elementary curriculum, collaborate with staff, and maintain communication with guardians.

This temporary 1.0 FTE position is within Osseo Area Schools, District 279, and offers opportunities for leadership participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• MN teaching license in appropriate field, or willingness to obtain.
• If not licensed, must be willing and eligible for Tier 1 or 2 licensure.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and provide instruction in 2nd grade curriculum.
• Maintain contact with guardians and work with families.
• Design and assess lessons according to district guidelines.
• Deliver in-person instruction and participate in district/building leadership activities.

Provide instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district, school and/or program for which employed; maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, working with them in the development of their scholar; design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; provide in-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning when applicable and work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district and building leadership activities.

Classroom Teacher

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• MN teaching license in appropriate field ( insert required license/s ), OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.*
