Job summary

LearnWell in Youngstown, OH is seeking a dedicated teacher to support adolescent patients in a residential behavioral health facility. This full-time role involves delivering daily lesson plans and individualized instruction in a small classroom setting.

You will monitor progress, adjust teaching strategies, and maintain attendance and session reports. Class sizes range from 8 to 15 students, with a year-round, 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Ohio teaching license required; substitute licenses will not be considered.
• Comfortable working with K-12th grade students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Youngstown, OH on a full-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in residential behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a year round, 40 hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
