Job summary

LearnWell in Dayton, OH seeks a full-time teacher to support 5-18 year old patients in a behavioral health facility, delivering daily lessons in a small classroom. The role involves creating lesson plans, individualized assistance, and regular progress updates.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Ohio teaching license required; substitute licenses will not be considered.

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Dayton, OH on a full-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility providing academic support for 5-18 year old patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 12 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
