Job summary

The Work-Family Connection, a non-profit organization in New Jersey, is seeking a part-time teacher for the before/after school program in Pohatcong. You will assist the Site Director, engage with children and parents, implement activities, help with homework, and ensure safety and supervision for the program.

Hours run from 7:00 am to 8:45 am for before school and 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm for after school, Monday through Friday; flexible schedules may be available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children and parents on a daily basis.

The Work-Family Connection is a non-profit organization that provides before and after school enrichment. We have been in business since 1989. We run before and after school programs in over 30 school districts. Our programs are enrichment based and provide working parents with a place to send their children and know they have homework help, are safe and are able to have fun.

Responsibilities for this position include assisting the Site Director in the day-to-day operations of the program, constant interaction with the children as well as the parents, implementing curriculum and activities, assisting with homework, maintaining the safety and supervision of the program. Further, this person needs to be a motivated, team player with a positive attitude.

The hours for the before school program are from 7 am to approximately 8:45 am and the hours for the after school program are from approximately 2:30 pm-6:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Flexible schedules may be available.
