Job summary

Joyoflearningcenter in Lanham, MD, seeks passionate teachers to join our play‑based program for children from infancy to school age. You will plan, direct, and participate in age‑appropriate activities and help prepare children for kindergarten, while supporting daily care and communicating with families via our Classroom Management system.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED;CDA.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education setting.
• MD Teaching Certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities to promote development.
• Prepare children for kindergarten by guiding organized education from infancy to school age.
• Assist in daily care such as feeding, changing, and nap time.
• Maintain open communication with parents and team members using the Classroom Management system.
• May assist Lead Teachers with classroom management or requests from the Assistant Director or Director.

What you bring as a Team Member:

All Teachers plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities designed to promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children. You will prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education from infancy to school age using the provided curriculum. You will also assist in daily care such as feeding, changing, and nap time. You will maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using our Classroom Management system. Teachers may also assist Lead Teachers in classroom management or in fulfilling requests made by the Assistant Director or Director.
