Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc. is seeking a qualified Academic Teacher for a Jacksonville, FL program.

The role involves delivering lessons in designated subjects and maintaining a positive classroom climate to maximize student motivation and learning outcomes. The position requires Florida teaching certification, a valid driver?s license, and completion of a drug screen along with a nationwide background check.

• Certified to teach in state of Florida.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $57,000

Duties & Responsibilities

• The Academic Teacher performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.

• Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
