Job summary

BUX-CSF-IIRP is seeking a part-time Health & Physical Education teacher for grades 7–12 at Woodlyn, PA (Buxmont Academy). The schedule is Thursdays and Fridays, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with a wage of $25.00 per hour.

The role emphasizes restorative practices, small class sizes, and a supportive, professional learning environment. We welcome experienced educators and retirees who want to make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health & Physical Education or related field.
• PA Teaching Certification or ability to obtain private teaching certification.
• Experience teaching secondary school students.
• Strong ability to adapt lessons to diverse developmental statuses.

The Role

As our part-time Health & PE Teacher, you will design and adapt engaging lessons to meet the developmental needs of students grades 7 through 12, fostering a positive, safe, and supportive environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Health & Physical Education or a related field.
• Certification: PA Teaching Certification, or the ability to obtain a private teaching certification.
• Experience: Prior experience teaching secondary school-aged students.
• Skills: Strong ability to adapt lessons and activities to diverse developmental statuses.
• Temperament: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professionalism, poise, and tact in high-stress situations.
