Job summary

Lipton Suffolk Factory Warehouse is seeking a Material Planner to ensure timely tea availability from third-party warehouses and to coordinate shipping to support production schedules and customer demand.

The role balances service levels with inventory investment and cost, requiring collaboration across Procurement, Supply Chain, and R&D to improve vendor reliability and supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline is required.
• 3–4 years in supply chain with 1–2 years in MRP.
• Knowledge of SAP is required.
• Understanding of data-mining techniques and statistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate material requirements based on system generated MRP and requisition materials accordingly.
• Expedite and de-expedite raw and packaging materials to support a flexible production schedule.
• Monitor raw and packaging inventory to optimize inventory. Maintain inventory models.
• Interface with Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, Suppliers, R&D, Logistics.
• Maintain Bills of Material, material master data, factory invoices and internal KPI’s.
• Ensure GR of tea and labeling at 3 party warehouses.
• Return tea to 3 party warehouse based on usage.
• Assist with inventory of tea and cycle counts.
• Ensure PSA in blending is maintained daily of items not being utilized.
• Apply Lipton Management System principles to identify major loss areas.
