Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Social Work, invites applications for a Coordinator for the Tennessee Child Support Employment & Parenting Program (TCSEPP). The role involves relationship-based work with participants, coordinating with custodial parents and the Child Support system, and connecting people to local resources across Tennessee.

Based in Anderson County, TN, the position requires travel within the county and occasional beyond.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer/client (case management) experience or two additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle with continuous auto insurance.
• Ability to assess participant needs and build trusting relationships.
• Ability to interact with partners including child support, court, and attorneys.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Determine participant eligibility and assess barriers for referrals.
• Develop individual action plans and provide one-on-one case management.
• Maintain records in TCSES, Apricot, Excel, etc.
• Monitor eligibility, payments, and program involvement.
• Develop partnerships with local agencies for employment barriers.
• Attend interagency meetings and partner meetings.
• Provide updates to Child Support staff and attorneys on progress.
• Maintain a court presence to engage with the Child Support system.
• Participate in job/resource fairs.
• Handle fiscal tasks like receipts, travel reports, and reconciliations.
