Job summary

Texas Department of State Health Services in Austin seeks a Program Specialist III to support TB surveillance and data analysis in NEDSS. Under supervision of the epidemiology and surveillance manager, you will provide technical assistance and training to TB registrars and ensure timely reporting.

You will develop short-, mid-, and long-term goals, conduct QA reviews, and collaborate with local and binational programs to improve data accuracy and reporting fidelity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in epidemiology/public health or closely related field.
• Experience with TB reporting and surveillance data preferred.
• Proficiency with TB data systems and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate TB surveillance data for quality assurance.
• Provide technical assistance and training to TB registrars regionally.
• Perform data quality assurance and analysis of NEDSS records.
• Develop TB work plans and set program objectives.
• Support disaster response and Continuity of Operations as needed.
• Collaborate with regional TB programs and border jurisdictions.
