Job summary

Arhaus is seeking an Outside Upholster (Trimmer) to upholster chairs and sofas in fabric and leather, ensuring 100% quality. The role is a full-time, production/hours-based position in a heated/cooled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include upholstering outside sections, performing own repair work, and assisting with occasional additional duties. Candidate must read English order tickets and work safely, with a team-oriented attitude and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in Manufacturing.
• Preferred experience in furniture manufacturing.
• Minimum education: Less than High School; or High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Preferred education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

JOB PURPOSE

Upholster Chair's and Sofa's in fabric and leather with 100% Quality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Upholster Outside sections of chairs and sofas.
• Perform own repair work.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Manufacturing Experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have knowledge of upholstery procedures.
• Must be able to transport frames to and from work area.
• Must be able to lift frame onto working area.
• Must be able to read an order ticket, written in English.
• Must be able to use staple gun, staple puller, scissors and regulators.
• Must be able to perform own repair work.
• Must be able to work safely, neatly and quickly to meet production requirements.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
• Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
• Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
