Job summary

Arhaus in North Carolina is seeking an upholstery assembler to build seats for recliners, install mechanisms, and assemble recliners in a heated and cooled furniture plant. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, using hand tools, and adhering to safety policies. Shift is Monday–Friday 6a–3:30p with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to learn and perform upholstery
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs
• Must be able to use hands to pull fabric/leather onto the frame
• Must be able to push/pull frame to work area and place on the lift
• Must be able to use hand tools
• Must be able to assemble small pieces
• Must have good vision
• Must be able to read a work ticket written in English
• Must be able to use a staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and pneumatic regulators
• Must be able to perform own repair work
• Must be able to work safely, neatly, and quickly to meet production requirements
• Strict attention to detail is a must
• Must wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe shoes

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build seats for recliners by upholstering them in fabric or leather.
• Put mechanisms together and install into frame.
• Assemble recliners as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
