The Louisiana Department of Revenue is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Bossier City, LA. The CSR provides timely, accurate information to taxpayers and practitioners about taxes and fees administered by the LDOR, using the DELTA system and LDOR filing tools.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries, researching taxpayer accounts, reviewing returns for compliance, calculating taxes and penalties, and educating taxpayers on filing and payment applications, with mandatory training

Formación

• One year of college or business school preferred or equivalent work experience.
• One year of call center or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with tax laws, accounting, bookkeeping or banking is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and typing proficiency; minimum 30 words per minute.
• Must pass criminal history background checks.

Responsabilidades

• Handle customer inquiries with knowledge of tax laws and departmental policies.
• Research taxpayer accounts to provide accurate information and instructions.
• Review tax returns to ensure compliance and correct noncompliant changes.
• Calculate taxes, penalties, interest, and fees due.
• Educate taxpayers on LDOR filing and payment applications and website usage.
• Correct records in the DELTA system and online returns as needed.
• Complete mandatory training and maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
