Job summary

Jackson County seeks an experienced Tax and Treasury Manager to lead property tax administration and treasury operations, safeguarding public funds and directing banking and payment processing for over $1 billion in annual transactions.

The role requires Oregon property tax expertise, treasury operations experience, and the ability to supervise staff, develop budgets, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. This is a non-represented, management/confidential position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's preferred.
• Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in program administration with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Experience with Oregon property tax administration including tax collection and distribution.
• Experience with government treasury operations, banking, cash management and internal controls.
• Ability to interpret complex laws, regulations, and procedures related to property taxation and public funds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage development, implementation, and operations of programs; prepare and administer budgets.
• Supervise staff, conduct evaluations, and address personnel matters as warranted.
• Develop and monitor budgets, maintain records, ensure fiscal compliance with approved limits.
• Advise on policies and standards for efficient operation and legal compliance.
• Coordinate planning and service delivery with local agencies, departments, and partners.
