Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a strategic Tax Transformation Leader to join our internal transformation team. You will drive a technology-enabled tax function focused on scalable processes, data-driven insights, and advisory capabilities across Tax Operations.

Lead automation, analytics, and workflow optimization initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders, managing vendors, and growing a high-performing team to advance operational excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, MIS, CS or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in tax transformation/technology and tax compliance/advisory
• Public accounting experience with mid to large size organizations
• Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
• Strategic thinker with ability to drive tactical execution
• Experience leading transformation teams and working with Thomson Reuters/Wolters Kluwer products GoSystem, OneSource, SurePrep, AxcessCPA

Responsibilities

• Roadmap Development: collaborate to develop a comprehensive roadmap with maximum business impact
• Strategy and Objectives: define Tax Transformation strategy, OKRs and KPIs
• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: manage relationships and communicate progress
• Business Cases & ROI: develop analyses to justify initiatives
• Data-Driven Insights: implement analytics and AI-driven solutions for advisory enablement
• Process Standardization: streamline tax processes leveraging automation and workflow technologies
• Team leadership: hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
• Project Management: lead cross-functional transformation initiatives
• Change Management: implement strategies for smooth adoption of new tech and processes
• Innovation Leadership: stay updated on industry trends and provide thought leadership
