Job summary

Solving IT, International in Chicago offers a Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Technology Analyst role, focused on Tax Technology, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled process improvement. You’ll bring a foundation in tax and grow a career at the intersection of Tax and Technology.

You’ll collaborate with Finance and Tax teams to optimize reporting, automate processes, and leverage data across systems, with opportunities to expand your skills in Copilot Studio and other Microsoft tools.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional tax experience.
• Experience in public accounting, corporate tax, consulting, or another tax environment.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Interest in using technology to improve Tax and Finance processes.
• Ability to understand a business process, identify inefficiencies, and think about how it could be improved.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build dashboards and analytics in Power BI.
• Automate tax and finance processes using Power Automate.
• Transform and prepare data using Power Query.
• Identify manual or repetitive processes that can be streamlined.
• Support reporting and analysis across financial and ERP systems.
• Explore AI and Copilot to improve Tax and Finance workflows.
• Partner with Tax and Finance stakeholders to understand business problems and develop solutions.
• Manage small technology and process-improvement initiatives from idea to implementation.
• Learn and expand skills across Tax Technology, analytics, automation, and AI.
