Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Manager within Transaction Advisory Services to drive timely engagement delivery and exceed client expectations. The role covers deal structuring, due diligence, post-deal integration, tax attribute management, and opinions across the TAS practice.

The candidate will join cross-functional teams on transactions for private equity and corporate buyers/sellers, manage budgets, and mentor staff while collaborating with BDO offices globally to ensure high-quality service

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience in professional services.
• One (1) or more years of TAS specific experience, preferred.
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or EA, or equivalent, required
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills, preferred

Responsibilities

• Participates in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions pursued by PE and strategic buyers.
• Identifies and analyzes tax risks and opportunities while advising buyers and sellers on tax strategies.
• Reviews merger agreements and provides opinion letters.
• Reviews tax computations in financial models and assists in analysis of tax data in projections.
• Manages risk and financial performance of engagements including budgeting, billing and collections.
• Works with BDO colleagues worldwide and mentors subordinates.
