Job summary

BDO USA is hiring a Tax Senior in Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) to support timely delivery of engagements and assist in delivering the national TAS tax strategy. The role focuses on M&A tax, deal structuring, due diligence, post-deal integration, and tax attribute management.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience, with CPA or JD preferred. Strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills and ability to travel may be expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, and/or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of relevant experience.
• CPA License and/or J.D. preferred.
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve on multiple client engagement teams in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions.
• Identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities for buyers and sellers on acquisition, disposition, and restructuring.
• Review merger agreements and provide opinion letters.
• Analyze tax computations in financial models and advise on tax data in financial projections.
• Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including budgeting, billing and collection.
• Collaborate with BDO offices worldwide and mentor junior staff.
• Other duties as required.
