Job summary

CST Group is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join our collaborative and growing team in Reston, VA. You will oversee business and individual tax engagements, provide strategic planning, and build strong client relationships while mentoring staff and collaborating with firm leadership.

You will lead tax projects across industries, stay current on tax law changes, and help drive exceptional client service and practice growth in a team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA; EA license required.
• 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and client engagements.
• Leadership experience supervising, mentoring, and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review business and individual tax engagements.
• Lead tax planning and consulting projects for clients across multiple industries.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client relationships and ongoing advisory needs.
• Research and resolve complex tax matters while ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations.
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff and senior associates.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on workflow management and client service initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to add value and strengthen client relationships.
• Stay current on tax law changes and industry developments.
