Job summary

Rea is seeking a Tax Supervisor to lead tax compliance, research and advisory engagements for clients in a growth‑oriented practice. You will oversee staff, coordinate with managers and principals, and deliver written tax advice while managing client relationships and ensuring quality control.

The role emphasizes ASC 740-10, FIN 48, and WTA documentation, with opportunities to grow marketing and business development within the tax specialty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant field required
• Master’s degree in accounting beneficial, Master’s degree in taxation beneficial
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Enrolled Agent (EA) required
• Experience: four to five years of prior experience
• Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships preferred
• Prior supervisory experience required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA; Proficient in tax compliance software and standard workpapers

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates, senior associates and supervisors on all projects
• Reviews work prepared by team members and provides feedback
• Trains associates and seniors on software tools
• Acts as a career advisor and schedules workload
• Manages client relationships and expectations
• Provides written tax advice and participates in tax planning
• Gathers information for controversy work and documents significant tax positions
