Job summary

Corrigan Krause is seeking motivated professionals to join our tax team in Kentucky. The role focuses on supervising engagements, managing associates, and delivering comprehensive tax planning for clients. Starting compensation typically falls between $76,000–$90,000, with growth based on performance. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in public accounting and CPA/EA credentials or candidacy,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • CPA or CPA candidate (150/120 hours) or EA acceptable.
  • 4–6 years of public accounting experience required.
  • Estate, Gift, Trust and international tax planning experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel and research-based software.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements, including reviewing work papers and informing the director of developments.
  • Supervise associates, provide feedback, and support career development.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Develop tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize benefits.
  • Review financial statements to identify tax issues and opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements, including reviewing engagement work papers, resolving problems, and keeping the director informed of all important developments
  • Supervise Associates and Senior Associates, provide feedback to them and evaluate their career development
  • Become proficient in their assigned areas and specialties
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize tax benefits for clients
  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify tax issues and opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate (150/120 hours completed), EA also acceptable
  • 4-6 years of experience in public accounting
  • Estate, Gift and Trust and international tax planning experience preferred
  • Efficiency in Excel and research-based softwareSkilled communicator, both verbally and written, ensuring confidentiality with Corrigan Krause employees and stakeholders
  • Ability to take and pass a background check
  • Work flexible hours as needed
