Job summary

Corrigan Krause in Westlake, OH is seeking a seasoned audit professional to join our growth. You will plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements, review work papers, and keep the director informed of developments while developing client relationships and delivering exceptional service.

With 4+ years in public accounting and CPA or CPA candidacy, you will guide Associates, stay current with auditing standards, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate; EA also acceptable.
• 4+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; QuickBooks, Sage or SAP.
• Strong communicator with confidentiality; able to pass a background check.
• Flexibility to work amended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements, including reviewing engagement work papers, resolving problems, and keeping the director informed of all important developments
• Supervise Associates and Senior Associates, provide feedback to them and evaluate their career development
• Become experts in their assigned areas and specialties
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that arise and recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to management and clients
• Stay up-to-date with changes in auditing standards and regulations, and ensure that audit processes are in compliance with these changes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate, EA also acceptable
• 4+ years of experience in public accounting
• Efficiency in Microsoft Suite products and software including QuickBooks, Sage or SAP
• Skilled communicator, both verbally and written, ensuring confidentiality with Corrigan Krause employees and stakeholders
• Ability to take and pass a background check
• Work flexible hours as needed
