Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance engagements.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, individuals, trusts and other entities.
• Review tax workpapers and returns for accuracy, completeness and compliance with tax laws.
• Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax issues.
• Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities and potential risks to clients and leadership.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and develop strong professional relationships.
• Coordinate engagement timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Tax Seniors, Staff Accountants, and junior team members.
• Review staff work and provide technical guidance and feedback.
• Assist managers and partners with complex tax matters and client presentations.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate developments to clients and staff.
• Participate in business development and expand client relationships.
• Assist with recruiting and development of the firm's tax professionals.

The Tax Supervisor is responsible for managing tax compliance engagements, reviewing complex tax returns, providing technical guidance to staff, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role works closely with managers and partners to oversee engagements, identify tax planning opportunities, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of client services.

• Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities and potential risks to clients and engagement leadership.
