Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple federal, state, and local tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and other entities.
  • Review complex tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Oversee tax planning and identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and manage tax risks.
  • Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax issues.
  • Serve as a key client contact and build strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Lead client meetings and communicate tax issues, recommendations, and planning opportunities.
  • Manage engagement budgets, timelines, staffing, and deliverables.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Seniors, Supervisors, and Staff Accountants.
  • Review workpapers and tax returns prepared by engagement teams and provide technical guidance.
  • Coordinate with partners and other service lines on complex client matters and special projects.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations and assess their impact on clients.
  • Assist with IRS, state, and local tax audits and examinations as needed.
  • Participate in business development activities, proposals, and client acquisition efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and additional services.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, performance evaluations, and career development of tax professionals.
  • Maintain responsibility for engagement quality, client service, and overall profitability.
