Job description

The Opportunity

A well-established and growing CPA firm north of Boston is looking to add an experienced Tax Supervisor to its team.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who has built a solid public accounting foundation and is ready to take greater ownership of clients, engagements and people — without stepping into an overly corporate environment.

You’ll work closely with firm leadership and have meaningful exposure to clients across a broad range of industries, with plenty of opportunity to contribute beyond simply preparing returns.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Take ownership of multiple tax engagements from planning through completion.
  • Review complex federal and state tax returns and supporting workpapers.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, helping identify issues and opportunities rather than simply responding to requests.
  • Work alongside Partners and senior leadership on tax planning, research and advisory matters.
  • Help manage workflow, deadlines and engagement economics across your client portfolio.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and technical support to Seniors and junior staff.
  • Build deeper client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
What They're Looking For
  • 6+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Active CPA license required
  • Strong experience reviewing returns and managing multiple engagements.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and communicating complex tax matters clearly.
  • Someone who can lead from the front while still being hands-on when needed.
  • Strong organization, judgement and attention to detail.
  • Experience with mainstream tax and accounting software is helpful.
Why Consider It?

This isn’t simply a title change.

The right person will have the opportunity to own client relationships, influence engagements, develop junior talent and work directly with experienced leadership in a firm that is continuing to grow.

You’ll get the resources and stability of an established CPA firm while retaining the visibility, autonomy and client access that can be harder to find in larger organizations.
