Job summary

Armanino is seeking a tax professional to prepare and review returns for Individuals, Partnerships, and S/C-corporations in a dynamic advisory and accounting environment in New York. You will identify planning opportunities and help shape strategies to meet client goals, supporting partners in practice planning, and mentoring staff.

The role requires 3+ years in U.S. tax consulting/compliance within public accounting, experience with financial services clients, and a CPA or equivalent is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the Financial Services industry supporting Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds, and Real Estate.
• Minimum of 3 years of U.S. tax consulting/compliance experience in public accounting, preferably with partnerships and other entity types.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in supervising the work of others, including delegation, training and development of staff and interns.
• CPA or equivalent credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, S and C-corporations.
• Familiarity with Subchapter K rules.
• Ability to identify and research common tax issues that arise in client engagements.
• Identify key planning opportunities throughout the year and develop a framework for tax strategies that best align with client needs and goals.
• Assist in identifying and promoting the development of new delivery capabilities and/or channels to satisfy evolving market requirements.
• Support the partner team in the development and planning of practice strategy, objectives, and budgets.
• Build on strong coaching skills to mentor key talent.
