Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Dallas seeks a Director of Restructuring Tax Services to lead complex tax engagements for debtors, creditors, and other parties within distressed restructurings. You will build financial models, oversee tax planning, and mentor junior staff while delivering data-driven analyses and strategic recommendations to clients and firm leadership.

The role requires a strong background in mergers & acquisitions tax, 7+ years at a Big4/BigLaw, CPA/JD or similar, and exceptional

Qualifications

• CPA or JD with accounting background.
• 7+ years in mergers & acquisitions tax and 4+ years in restructuring tax.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Robust analytical skills and ability to handle large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in advising on restructuring tax issues including CODI and debt modifications.
• Conduct research on tax and bankruptcy code sections and regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive summaries of financial information for client communications.
