Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Dallas, TX seeks a Director, Global Transaction Tax (International Transaction Tax) to lead US and international tax matters for complex M&A deals. You will guide due diligence, model reviews, and advise on treaty implications.

Qualifications

• CPA, JD or LLM required.
• At least 7 years of relevant M&A tax experience at a Big 4 or Big Law firm.
• At least 4+ years of US international tax experience.
• Strong writing, analytical, research, Excel, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and business development skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, time‑sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence including review of US tax returns and related documents and summarize risks and opportunities.
• Review and comment on US international tax aspects of financial models.
• Review and comment on US international tax aspects of purchase agreements.
• Coordinate with federal, transfer pricing and non-US tax teams to deliver high-quality work.
• Provide expert advice on US international tax implications of deal structures.
• Assist with design and implementation of global tax restructurings and planning.
• Stay updated on US international tax developments and contribute to thought leadership.
• Build relationships with clients and across Tax and A&M.
