Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a full‑time Restructuring Tax Services Intern for Summer 2027 to join the RTS team in the United States. You will work alongside tax professionals on bankruptcy and out‑of‑court restructurings, gaining exposure to CODI, debt modifications, and tax attribute value preservation.

The role emphasizes analytical work, financial modeling, and client‑facing presentation support, with a focus on development and collaboration within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related analytical field.
• Pursuing an Advanced Degree / Certification (CPA, MST, MAcc, JD or LLM) or steps taken to earn it.
• Strong interest in taxation and financial restructuring (e.g., Chapter 11 proceedings).
• High motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic, time-sensitive setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the RTS team in advising on restructuring tax issues (CODI, debt modifications, Section 382, etc.).
• Conduct research and analysis on tax code sections and regulations.
• Prepare and circulate summaries of financial information for public and private companies.
• Build and maintain financial models and management presentations.
• Support business development as the practice grows.
