Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC is seeking a Tax Staff to support a variety of tax engagements under supervision. You will serve clients across multiple industries, communicate with project in-charges and clients, and develop tax knowledge while preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.

You will also research tax issues and prepare workpapers as part of a collaborative team. The role involves travel to client sites as needed and may require overtime during peak cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred; CPA certification or eligibility to pursue CPA is a plus.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel to client sites, including frequent travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime during busy cycles.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide variety of tax engagements under supervision.
• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Prepare basic and intermediate individual tax returns; prepare federal and multi-state corporate tax returns and basic partnership returns.
• Research tax issues using online tools.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
