Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Tax Staff to work on a variety of tax engagements under supervision, serving clients from diverse industries. You will prepare basic to intermediate individual returns and assist with federal, multi-state, and partnership filings, while expanding tax knowledge and collaborating with senior staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting or related field, CPA considerations, strong computer/spreadsheet skills, and willingness to travel including overtime during

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Masters preferred CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles

• Work on a wide variety of tax engagements under the supervision of different accounting professionals.
• Engage and serve clients from various industries
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients
• Develop tax knowledge while preparing basic and intermediate individual tax returns
• Prepare federal and multi-state corporate tax returns and basic partnership returns
• Research fundamental tax issues using online tools
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files
• Perform other essential duties as needed
