The Opportunity

As a Tax Technology and Transformation Manager, you will oversee and deliver tax technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Your responsibilities include managing projects involving system integration, software implementation, and automation of tax processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale tax transformation and managed services programs.
• Lead digital tax transformation initiatives.
• Strategize and plan tax technology roadmaps.
• Implement and configure tax systems for direct and indirect taxes.
• Review analytics and reporting, advising on improvements.
• Support tax operating model transformations.
• Develop and deploy custom tax systems.
• Manage projects with cross-functional teams, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality.
• Identify operational improvements, assess risks, and design custom applications.
• Build strong client relationships and enhance tax strategies.

Skills and Attributes

• Ownership and project management skills.
• Automation and process improvement expertise.
• Understanding of integrated systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
• Technical proficiency in coding, testing, and debugging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IS, or related fields.
• 5+ years relevant experience or 2-3 years with a master’s degree.
• Certifications such as CPA, JD, Six Sigma, PMP preferred.
• Experience with financial services, tax software, or performance improvement.

Preferred Experience

• Project management experience.
• Leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Knowledge of tax technology tools (e.g., ONESOURCE, Vertex).
• Development of custom applications and ERP systems experience.
