The Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager for our EDGE Insurance Tax practice. You will work with industry professionals on dynamic tax compliance projects to enhance your technical knowledge.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients, escalate complex issues appropriately, and manage client expectations.
• Deliver compliance and consulting services within deadlines.
• Lead projects independently, providing guidance when needed.
• Manage communications with client teams to gather and share information for accurate reporting.
• Support long-term client relationships and manage workflow effectively.
• Oversee engagement deliverables, team resources, and project economics.
• Advise on complex tax issues, set expectations, and delegate tasks.
• Review staff work for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide leadership, feedback, and coaching to team members.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Identify and address problem areas in tax projects.
• Present complex topics confidently to clients.
• Break down complex projects into manageable parts and develop client-centric solutions.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics, with at least 5 years of tax experience.
• CPA, EA, or licensed attorney.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
• Experience supporting audits and tax for Insurance and C Corporations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns like 1120 series.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with state and local tax compliance.
• SEC experience.
• Proven team management skills.
