The opportunity

We are seeking a Manager to join our EDGE Insurance Tax practice. You will work closely with insurance industry professionals on dynamic tax compliance projects to enhance your tax expertise.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients, escalate complex issues appropriately, and manage client expectations regarding response times and resolutions.
• Manage compliance and consulting services to meet deadlines.
• Lead projects independently, with guidance on only the most complex issues.
• Possess specialized expertise in relevant areas.
• Coordinate with client tax teams to gather information, share insights, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain effective long-term client relationships and manage workflow efficiently.
• Oversee engagement deliverables, team resources, and ensure timely, accurate tax compliance services.
• Provide guidance on complex tax matters, set expectations, and assign tasks.
• Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Offer leadership, feedback, and coaching to team members.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Tax, Law, or Economics with at least 5 years of tax experience.
• CPA, EA, or licensed attorney certification.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
• Experience supporting audits and tax for insurance companies and C Corporations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing returns like 1120, 1120 PC, 1120 L, and consolidated groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with state and local taxation, SEC, and team management.
