Job summary

Baker Tilly US, LLP is seeking a Tax Manager to deliver tax and advisory services to small business clients. You will work with firm leadership, coach staff, and help grow the business while maintaining high service standards.

In this role you will oversee tax compliance, accounting and advisory work, manage client relationships, and drive process improvements. A CPA or JD is required and previous supervisory experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's desirable.
• CPA or JD required.
• 5+ years of federal/state tax compliance and advisory experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience and mentoring.
• Strong client service, communication and professional skills.
• Experience in a professional services firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services to clients.
• Oversee accounting, bookkeeping and preparation of financials.
• Review client records and discuss accounting and business matters.
• Lead client engagements and improve processes and controls.
• Develop staff and manage client relationships; ensure profitability.
