The Opportunity

As a Tax Senior Manager, you'll gain insights into the evolving state and local tax environment within the financial services industry, working with clients in banking, capital markets, insurance, and wealth management sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of complex tax operations, providing meaningful business insights.
• Identify opportunities and risks, communicating these effectively to clients.
• Research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
• Develop strategic plans to improve clients’ tax activities.
• Build long-term relationships by understanding clients’ business operations and tailoring advice accordingly.
• Supervise and mentor a team of professionals, ensuring their growth and skill development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• CPA, licensed Attorney, or a certified member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
• At least 8 years of experience in state and local Credits and Incentives tax processes.
• Experience managing budgets, teams, and projects.
• Proven excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
• Strong research and technical writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple complex projects and influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a professional services setting or in-house within the financial industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, or Premium Pro.
• Experience coaching junior colleagues and working with internal and client teams.

Competitive salary range: $133,700 to $305,400 nationwide; higher in NY, WA, and CA. Total Rewards include health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and flexible work arrangements.
