The opportunity

As a Tax Senior Manager, you’ll gain firsthand experience in the financial services industry, working on diverse state and local tax projects for banking, capital markets, insurance, and wealth/asset management clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide up-to-date tax advice on complex projects, working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Analyze tax operations to identify opportunities and risks.
• Research market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
• Develop strategies to improve clients’ tax activities.
• Build long-term relationships by understanding clients’ business operations.
• Supervise and mentor a team of professionals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• CPA, licensed Attorney, or member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
• At least 8 years of experience in state and local Credits and Incentives tax processes.
• Experience managing budgets, teams, and projects.
• Strong research, technical writing, and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a professional services environment or in-house in financial services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, or Premium Pro.
• Experience coaching junior colleagues.

What We Offer

Competitive salary range: $133,700 - $305,400 (US-wide); $160,500 - $347,000 (NYC, Washington, CA). Benefits include health coverage, pension, 401(k), paid time off, and flexible work arrangements. We support continuous learning, leadership development, and a diverse, inclusive culture.
